Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is an Insight Seminar?

Some refer to participating in an Insight Seminar as a journey of fulfillment finding love and wisdom inside themselves they never knew or forgot existed. Others describe it as a place to remember who they were before the wounds of the world ever got to them. While each experience is unique to the participant, everyone emerges from this life-changing seminar with the tools necessary to manifest their deepest desires and create a life they’ll love.

Okay, but what exactly happens during the Insight I seminar?

In an Insight I seminar, participants are led through a series of highly experiential exercises (that are often lots of fun) with the intention of helping us recognize where our hearts and minds have been closed off to greater possibilities and how we can open to the choices we could be making to achieve our hearts’ desires. At the conclusion, we have a graduation ceremony which is open to anyone who wants to hear what it feels like like after participating in this heart-opening seminar.

How often are the seminars held?

Initially, we are holding the first seminar in New Zealand in 2025 and hoping to hold them 3 times a year between Australia and New Zealand. We are a worldwide organisation so it is not uncommon for participants to travel to other cities to experience Insight and see it as way to make new friends and discover other communities around the globe.

I’m not crazy about large groups, exactly how many people participant in each seminar?

The size of a group varies from seminar to seminar, and you’ll discover that no matter how large the group, a sacred and nurturing intimacy emerges. No one is forced to participate in any exercises they do not want to. There is great value in group work. In addition to being among like-minded individuals all committed to growth and upliftment, the opportunity for group encouragement and support and the friendships and community that form are priceless.

I’ve done other trainings, how is Insight different?

It is not uncommon for our participants to have done many other trainings and seminars before coming to Insight. At Insight, we believe all change starts with an open heart. We are masters in showing people how to re-engage their hearts and minds. We have been told by Grads that our commitment to leading with an open heart and the joy that erupts during the seminar is what sets Insight apart from other workshops and trainings they have taken. It is not unusual for past Insight participants to re-take Insight I to recharge what they have learned and gain some additional life-propelling juice.

Can I skip one of the sessions if I have a prior commitment?

Each session builds upon the last and to get maximum value, participants are asked to commit to the full seminar. We understand that making this time and financial commitment can be a challenge for some, but what we have learned from graduates is the decision to give yourself this time, regardless of work, family and other commitments, was the best decision they ever made.

Why are the fees relatively low?

Insight is a volunteer-run, not-for profit organisation that has been creating life-changing experiences since 1978. We keep our fees low thanks to our fantastic volunteer team. Previous participants also love to pay it forward knowing the difference it can make in someone’s life. If you feel moved to help keep the organisation going, you can support future seminars with a donation or sign up to volunteer.

How is it I have never heard of Insight?

We have been offering seminars since 1978 reaching over one million participants. Insight is a word-of-mouth organization, and our seminars fill from graduates inviting their friends, business associates and other people in their lives to participate. Our participants range from 19 to 90.  We also offer seminars for Teens, Pre-teens and Children.

Is Insight offered online?

We have from time to time offered online seminars; however, due to the experiential nature and benefits of being physically present in a seminar room, we currently are not offering Insight I this way.

I don’t have problems in my life. Why take a seminar?

Good question. Insight is not a “fix-me” seminar – rather a place where participants can take a heartfelt look at where they would like to expand in their lives and receive the tools to make change. For some, it is a long-buried dream, better career, relationship, health, or finances they are after. Everyone has their own reason for taking the seminar, but regardless of the goal, the intention and reason to participate is still the same – to live life to the maximum with an open and giving heart.

I understand Insight offers advanced seminars, what are they?

After completing the Insight I seminar, you are eligible to sign up for a number of advanced seminars including Insight II (a 5-day seminar limited to 42 participants) and Insight III (a retreat for up to 60 participants).

Can I register onsite the day of the seminar?

We don’t recommend it. Insight Seminars, especially Founder’s Seminars, which are offered at a lower price (due to generous underwriting by past participants) fill fast. Additionally, over the many years, participants have told us that as soon as they make the commitment to be at a seminar, they notice things in their lives beginning to shift. So if you are interested, we encourage you to sign up quickly.
